Chartering the Al Vento is, without question, one of the most unique and memorable ways to celebrate a special occasion on the Hudson River.

We took family and friends on a sunset cruise for my husband’s birthday. Captains Doug, Rob and Kevin were knowledgeable and accommodating — even moving out our sail one day to ensure the seas were calm and the sunset spectacular. They made everything easy and carefree.

It was a perfect way to spend a late summer evening. We highly recommend and hope to be aboard again soon!

I booked an afternoon sail for my husband’s birthday with our kids and 8 of our closest friends- it was a perfect day! The Al Vento was beautiful and Captain Kevin and First Mate Owen were very kind and knowledgeable. The sail was smooth and the weather was perfect-it was just such a great time. The entire charter experience was positive- Doug was very accommodating and was even able to change the day of my sail based on the weather and his availability. They are really great people to do business with and it was such a great way to enjoy our local Hudson River! My husband was really happy with his birthday! We will definitely sail again!!

We went out on a two hour boat ride on Al Vento with Kevin as our captain. To say it was amazing would be a total understatement.

I live three blocks away and was totally unaware of the service that Nyack Boat Charter offers. We took the boat up by hook mountain and Kevin took the two teenage girls out on tube rides.

We were so impressed with how attentive he was to their needs, safety, and making sure they had a good time. He communicated well and obviously loves what he does. The weather and water was perfect and he also stopped to let us jump in for a swim. I have no complaints and definitely will be returning.

What a perfect day it was and I can’t imagine someone better to guide us on the way.

My family and I chartered Al Vento for a half day on the Hudson to celebrate multiple birthdays. Being that this was the first time we have ever chartered a boat we weren’t sure what to expect, but Doug and the Captain and his first mate were absolutely amazing. Doug answered all my questions promptly and was super easy to deal with prior to the sail day. Captain Kevin and his first mate were very courteous and friendly once we boarded the sailboat.

The waters were calm so the trip up the Hudson was extremely relaxing and on the way back we were able to put up the sails, which was beautiful. Everything we needed was down below and the service while aboard was top notch.

I will definitely charter with them again.

I booked the Al Vento for a private sunset cruise in celebration of my wife’s 60th birthday. An absolutely perfect evening with our children and grandson, and she was absolutely thrilled. The boat is very well appointed, although we never really left the deck!

Doug was terrific in organizing our event, and Rob and Dave not only sailed the boat expertly, but taught us a few things. They also picked up, served and cleaned up after our food and drink. Perfect weather and a beautiful sunset didn’t hurt!

We went out on a private charter with family and friends. Doug was extremely responsive and made sure everything was taken care of before the trip. Everyone enjoyed the sunset tour. Our teenagers loved the tubing.
